Vocational guidance plays an important role in career orientation for
secondary students. Before entering the secondary school graduation exam,
schools around the country start to organize career counseling. This urgent
issue drives parents, teachers, and students up the wall, especially students are
the learners who directly suffer from this consequence leading to students’
mental health issues. The study aim is to find out the optimal solution that
helps students overcome the high pressure of vocational counseling before the
graduation exam. In this inquiry, quantitative research is the best method to
focus on surveying students’ awareness based on comparative research which
is typical research, and via this exploration to evaluate the research object
comprehensively. The comparative research is applied in this article to
discover the differences between vocational guidance before and after the
10th-grade entrance exam towards poorer and lower-scoring students. This
study is put into operation at Chu Van An secondary school – in Binh Duong
province – academic year 2023-2024 and the students of grade 9 are research
objects which are chosen to answer survey questions. According to survey
tables, more than 93.3% of students with poorer and lower scores select
vocational guidance after the secondary school graduation exam and 6.7% of
students take the reverse one. What we need to think about is whether this way
of present career counseling is feasible
This article presents the implementation process of the smart university model at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Scotland), University of Sydney (Australia), National University of Singapore, Stanford University (American), and the University of Tokyo (Japan). The article highlights the similarities, differences, and issues encountered during the implementation of the smart university model in different countries. The research shows that all universities have implemented smart campus elements, while other elements are implemented uniquely by each university. These campuses integrate smart technologies to monitor and analyze energy consumption, emissions, and more. Real-time data about the campus informs what is happening within the university, thereby facilitating easier management, administration, security, and environmental protection.
This study which entitles “Learners’ Attitudes towards the Project Works in promoting English learner autonomy: a Case Study at Foreign Trade University-Ho Chi Minh Campus” was conducted with the following objectives: (1) to investigate students’ attitudes towards the use of project works to enhance their autonomous learning in an English speaking class; (2) to find out to what extent students believe that using project works can promote their autonomous learning; and (3) to figure out difficulties that learners have during the time they conduct Video making project. The study population was 73 second-year students who took the course English listening and speaking 2. An open-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview were employed as research instruments for data collection. The result firstly shows that the students have positive attitudes towards the use of project works in English class that may have enhanced their autonomous learning. Then, it reveals students’ preference in having more project works to do in their English classes. Nonetheless, using project works’ evaluation as one of criteria for course assessment is a controversial issue among these students. In addition, students’ interest in utilizing information technology devices is remarked as one of the significant findings in this study. Furthermore, some difficulties when conducting projects are found including time constraints, teamwork conflicts, cultural differences and technology problems. In short, because of students’ positive attitudes toward Video making project in enhancing their autonomous learning, it is suggested that teachers should consider applying the project in their language teaching.
The relationship between language and gender is an interesting topic which has been under discussion over the last few centuries. Throughout the history of language study, lots of studies have been conducted and different linguists have been looking at this issue from different angles. As a socially constructed notion of what is feminine and what is masculine, gender is considered to be closely interrelated to different aspects of our life, especially to our language. From interdisciplinary perspectives with the corpus being the language used in daily communication, the study pointed out various differences between genders both in language use and in aspects of the language used to talk about each gender. From these differences, the study can help us understand a great deal of American culture which, in turns, makes it easy for us to use the language effectively.
This study deals with the stiffness design of geometrically nonlinear structures using
topology optimization. Bi-directional Evolutionary Structures Optimization (BESO) is
employed to implement the design process. The geometrically nonlinear behavior of the
structures are modeled using a total Lagrangian finite element formulation and the
equilibrium is found using a Newton-Raphson iterative scheme. The topology optimization
of linear and nonlinear modeling are implemented. The sensitivity of the objective function
is found with the adjoint method and the optimization problem is solved using BESO’s update method. Objective function of complementary work is evaluated. A special technique called the continuation method is applied to solve the instability of nonlinear structure optimization. ANSYS APDL is also used to do FEA of optimal topology to verify the effectiveness of geometrically nonlinear modelling. The results show that differences in stiffness of structures optimized using linear and nonlinear modelling is generally small but it can be large in some cases, especially structure highly involving buckling behaviour.
Performance-related pay (PRP) is an integral part of Reward Management (RM) and is considered to have beneficial effects on organisational performance and employee motivation. Drawing on 14 case studies, this paper examines the Reward Management practices of local and multinational companies in Australia with specific consideration to PRP within the debate over the applicability of the transfer of the Human Resource Management (HRM) practices between nations through subsidiary-parent company relationships. After reviewing the relevant literature(s), the study concentrates on finding whether multinational corporations (MNC) in Australia pursue similar or different RM practices compared to their domestically owned Australian counterparts with special reference to PRP. It also investigates whether there are national variations between multinational companies in terms of the nature and character of their practices. The findings reveal country of origin differences in the way PRP practices are applied in subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies in Australia and local Australian firms. The case studies are used to examine and explain the practices.
ABSTRACT
Sexual harassment in public places is a matter of concern in Vietnam. The purpose of this article is to understand and explain gender differences in perceptions of sexual harassment in public places, which is based on Brooks Gardner's gender interaction perspective. The study used both quantitative analysis based on the Chi-square test procedure and analysis of in-depth interview data coded by NVivo software. Research results showed that there were gender differences in the perceptions of students in the Southeast region in terms of the forms, causes, and consequences of sexual harassment in public places. To improve understanding and reduce gender differences, it is necessary to organize communication activities to raise awareness and skills to prevent this evil in universities.

The paper demonstrates the role of globalization and localization in the process of Vietnam’s interaction and integration with other cultures, causing changes in Vietnamese language. Globalization is defined as the free movement of goods, services and people of the worldwide scope across the borders of countries, resulted from the opening up of the global economy and advances of technologies. The increasing interconnectedness and integration of the economies of the world furnish more influx of information among countries which do not have anything in common and Internet and social media well contribute to such spread. Not only the pros but the cons of globalization are used to explain the part of localization as the entire process of adapting a product or content to a specific location or market. The paper indicates localization as the Vietnamese people’s endeavor to adapt Vietnamese language to the world while protecting and enhancing the national characters. The differences between localization and globalization are analyzed to demonstrate the value and requirements of localization in the present time. The influences of Sino-Vietnamese and French language are also found out as evidences of the phenomena. The changes of Vietnamese language from globalization and localization are illustrated with devices, ideas and images referring to the objects, actions or ideas.
The paper presents general theory about making small models for studying large machines. Here, the author refers to the design of pile driving and pressing machines. To express ideas, the author presents design drawings presented in three-dimensional perspective. Currently, pile drivers and pile presses are two separate machines, in which their base machine is the same, their working parts are slightly different. The author takes advantage of the slight differences to combine them into one machine, so as to ensure that this machine is able to pile or pile. In addition, the structure of pile making and pressing machines is created by the author, which is somewhat simpler than the current construction and driving machine. This successful study will form the basis for manufacturing a pile driving machine and pile machine into a single machine, greatly reducing the costs of procurement and construction machine use.
This paper restates the definition of the nice m-system of parameters for Artinian modules. It also shows its effects on the differences between lengths and multiplicities of certain systems of parameters for Artinian modules.
This study investigated grammatical difficulties encountered by students of the People’s Police University while learning grammar in ESP courses. The design included questionnaires to teachers and students, and classroom participant observations. The findings indicated that the student respondents only perceived four target features to be difficult to learn. The results also showed that the students’ perceptions of grammatical difficulty were influenced by several factors including the inherent complexity of rules, L1 transfer, students’ differences in language aptitude, students’ infrequency of practice, and teaching methodology. The findings will hopefully be useful for teachers and researchers with an interest in this line of research.
Binh Duong has rapidly transformed during the period 1999-2009, from a agricultural province to industrial one. The paper explores the shift of occupation-based social structure of Binh Duong during that period. Using the data sets of Census 1999 and 2009, the paper analyses the evolution of the occupational figure in Binh Duong by ten occupational categories and four occupational strata, and the differences in this figure by residence, gender, ethnic, and religious variables. Findings show that the occupational structure of Binh Duong is more developed than the one of the Southern Key Economic Zone. Its change in rural areas is more significant than in urban areas. There are not considerable differences by gender, ethnicity, and religiousness. The findings are suggestive for a further analysis using the data set of Census 2019 on the evolution of occupational figures in Binh Duong during the previous twenty years (1999-2019).
