With a favorable location and diverse natural and cultural resources, Phu Quoc city of Kien Giang province has immense potential for tourism development. Phu Quoc is one of the localities with the biggest number of tourist arrivals and the highest revenue from tourism in the Mekong Delta. However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Phu Quoc tourism faces many difficulties in implementing the pre-set plans. Using a systematic review of the literature to synthesize the information dealing with tourism resources, impacts of Covid-19 pandemic on tourism performance and recovery plans of local authorities, the article analyzes the potential and current status of tourism development of Phu Quoc. Interviews with researchers and travel agencies’ representatives also add some ideas to the proposals for the orientation of tourism development in the new context. Integration to regional and international market, promotion of regional interlinkage and travel demands and new trends of tourism are crucial factors recommended for the development of tourism on Phu Quoc island. For more than a hundred years, the people of Kien Giang have maintained the celebration of Nguyen Trung Truc’s death anniversary in order to pay tribute to this “Born as a general, die as a god”. According to the movement and development of history, the death anniversary of Nguyen Trung Truc must also have certain changes, to match the content anh nature of the historical – cultural time. This is an important issue, helping to better identify the regular adaptations and changes of national cultural values. However, to date this issue has not been studied. The purpose of the article is to analyze and clarify the process of organizing the death anniversary celebration and its changes, contributing to explaining the adaptation and regular change of cultural values.

In Kien Giang, along with religion, belief is an indispensable need in the spiritual life of a part of the people. The most prominent is the worship of Nguyen Trung Truc (NTT) - a bright star in the southern land - a national hero against the French in the second half of the 19th century. Every year, from 26-28 (lunar year), people from all over the world gather in Rach Gia - where the temple worships NTT - to light incense to show gratitude on the occasion of the NTT festival. Besides the great feats recorded in history books, the people have created many legends about this hero. In the series of legends about NTT, the magical element associated with the motifs of “miracle birth”, “marvelous feat”, “incarnation” appear many times. They play a particularly valuable role to contribute NTT as an immortal god in the hearts of Kien Giang people.

Bài báo này đề cập đến chương trình đào tạo sinh viên ngành Công nghệ Kỹ thuật điện tử kéo dài 4 năm đã được triển khai tại trường Đại học Công nghệ Đồng Nai. Các sinh viên phát triển kiến thức và kỹ năng từ người mới học điện tử trở thành người có kinh nghiệm như các nhà thiết kế mạch. Chương trình đào tạo mang tính định hướng cao và tất cả các học phần đều tập hợp xung quanh một bộ tiêu chuẩn đã được xem xét kỹ lưỡng. Chương trình đào tạo đặt trọng tâm vào bốn dự án thiết kế – triển khai (dự án kỹ thuật, dự án kỹ thuật đa ngành, thực tập chuyên ngành và khóa luận tốt nghiệp) và tuân thủ đúng các nguyên tắc CDIO (Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate: Hình thành – Thiết kế – Triển khai – Vận hành). Ở năm đầu tiên, dự án có độ khó thấp, thách thức tăng lên đáng kể trong những năm tiếp theo. Sinh viên học được rằng thiết kế sản phẩm là một quá trình lặp đi lặp lại ở các cấp độ khác nhau. Các đánh giá đã chứng minh rằng sinh viên không chỉ nhận thức được các nguyên tắc CDIO mà còn bị thuyết phục bởi chất lượng đào tạo khi tuân theo các tiêu chuẩn này.
